Should "assassination" be in there in regards to his wife? Does assassination not imply that the shooter was specifically targeting someone and was that shooting not an act of random violence? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.122.124.229 (talk) 16:04, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

It doesn't look like there's much detail on Kelly's pre-NASA activities. There are a few paragraphs without inline references also. I think the Navy section should go before the NASA section so the info in chronological order. Some other astronaut bios (Buzz Aldrin, Jan Davis, John Glenn, Dominic L. Pudwill Gorie, & Sally Ride) I looked do that. -Fnlayson (talk) 17:01, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

  • In many biographies I've seen the most prominent and most recent stuff comes first. Also, he was not prominent or especially notable (though still accomplished) prior to being selected by NASA. It does not seem appropriate to add more in that regard unless he did something as a test pilot that was notable. I'll check your point on missing inline references later. Thx.--Utahredrock (talk) 17:35, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
  • Serving in combat may not be prominent, but it is something of note. Putting the Navy section before or after the NASA one won't make much difference though. -Fnlayson (talk) 17:52, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
  • Thanks. I don't know enough to add much content. There maybe be more info that can be taken from the references in place. That's about all I have to add. Good luck. -Fnlayson (talk) 17:43, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Kelly & Michelle Obama photo

I think it was extremely irresponsible to remove personal information about Michelle Obama holding his hand during the memorial service, a fact which was menioned in the New York Times, a very reliable source. I'm not quite sure why this was removed. Please respond whoever removed this. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.26.119.45 (talk) 17:54, 15 January 2011 (UTC)

what did he fly?

More info on his naval aviation would be good. Yeah, he's notable for the NASA stuff, but given we write a bio, we need to describe the different periods of his life. Actually the pre-NASA stuff is very skimpy. TCO (talk) 12:01, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
