Mardy Colliery in WW2

[edit]

The narrative relating to the colliery seems to have a gap. Closed 1935, re-opened 1938, closed 1940. No indication is given as to whether the colliery was open, or had been "mothballed" on nationalisation in 1947. It seems unlikely that it would have remained closed for the duration of WW2, though the current text suggests that the coal may have been more suitable for export than for use in the UK market.
