Despite reliable sources (e.g. Museum of Reading and BBC Berks) stating that the sculpture is 31 feet (9.4 m) long (though the latter may well be a regurgitation of either the MoR or our article), I seriously doubt that this can be true. Having seen the lion countless times, it certainly isn't bigger than a double-decker bus. While obviously not too accurate, measuring it in Google Earth gives a length of (at most) 20 feet (6.1 m). I'm not sure where we can get a different figure from, but I'm going to email the museum (even if it's to see if they acknowledge the error). matt (talk) 16:59, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Zoom in with Google maps till the scale shows 10ft allows accurate measurement. It's about 20ft. Kwenchin (talk) 13:59, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
