Credits for "Sauce It Up"
[edit]@Maintaining: @KEV2179413: The Fader is a reliable source for Wikipedia, so I don't think they lied about the credits for the song, I do think these producers are involved in the song but uncredited. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 22:58, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- @TheAmazingPeanuts: It's not that The Fader lied or isn't a reliable source, it's that those producers (Maaly Raw, Ike Beatz & Michael Proli) did not confirm their contribution to "Sauce It Up". They listed other song(s) they have worked on, with the former not being included on those lists. It is a possibility that they could have gotten the credits incorrect. To back it up, Don Cannon is the only songwriter on YouTube Music, Tidal and Warner/Chappell Music website. As for "X", it sounds like Maaly Raw's after Pi'erre Bourne, but Maaly is not credited as a songwriter, same as "Sauce It Up". Maintaining (talk) 12:51, 19 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Maintaining: Too bad this album didn't come out with a digital booklet to tell the credits are correct, instead of a source that probably have incorrect credits in it. You said the producers did not confirm their contribution to "Sauce It Up", it is possible they did produced the song without having their names in the songwriter credits? Sometimes producers don't always count as songwriters. TheAmazingPeanuts (talk) 08:43, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
- @TheAmazingPeanuts: I agree, it would have been better with a digital booklet, but it seems labels/artists don't take that into consideration. Maybe if they print physical copies when the deluxe version comes out, it'll include a booklet of some sort with the credits. I have noted that producers aren't always credits as songwriters, but none of the three have noted "Sauce It Up" as one of their credentials. Ike Beatz only lists "444+222" and "The Way Life Goes" via his Instagram posts, as Maaly Raw lists "444+222", "Early 20 Rager", "Unfazed" and "Dark Queen" as their production credits on the album. - @Maintaining: I see your point, but there have been IPs keep restoring the producers for "Sauce It Up" after you remove them, it is possible the editor behind these IPs got these producers credits from Genius [1], because the website also said that Maaly Raw, Ike Beatz & Michael Proli produced the song, along with Don Cannon.
