Talk:List of towns and villages in Georgia (U.S. state)
Where does this list come from? According to the article on Georgia: Besides the counties, the Constitution of Georgia only defines cities as local units of government. Every incorporated town, no matter how small, is legally a city. Akubhai 12:12, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
- Due to a very odd quirk in the Georgia State Constitution, there is only one form of local government, smaller than a county, that is offered in Georgia: the so-called "city". We know that this is stupid on the part of the legislators, but that is the way that it is.
- Thus, this list needs to link prominently to the one Category: Municipalities in Georgia (U.S. state) Category:Municipalities in Georgia (U.S. state). We really do know that the actual cities of Georgia are these: Albany, Atlanta, Athens, Augusta, Columbus, Decatur, Lawrenceville, Macon, Marietta, Savannah, and maybe one or two more.98.67.111.223 (talk) 22:14, 29 April 2010 (UTC)
