[edit]My interest is in this entry is in figuring out all the mexican channels because I started to get wise and realize not everything on a US hispanic channel was from the USA, but Mexico and really done for a Mexican audiance so I hope this is up to date since I will need it.
Mexico pay TV
[edit]Hello. I would propose that in this listing, you list Mexico pay television channels. do you, what say?--189.229.75.27 (talk) 00:39, 3 December 2011 (UTC)
- I would say no since this current list is too long adding all Mexican pay television channels would make it longer and the articles's title is List of television stations in Mexico, pay TV networks are not stations. I believe the appropriate place to add pay TV networks would be List of Mexican television networks and if that list should get too long it should be divided in to two articles List of Mexican broadcast television networks and List of Mexican pay television networks.

An article without cheating
[edit]Hello. Unfortunately, the "repeaters" section are listed the TV channels that have the same indicative, which looks like a hoax to the who sees, i.e. Altzomoni, State Mexico to channels as it transmits with a power that covers area of the Mexico State, Morelos, Puebla and Tlaxcala, that according to has repeaters in Tlaxcala, Puebla and/or Morelos with the same indicativethe film, indicates it does not really conveys to that area because that makes it through his reprtidoras, thus the "repeaters" section should be deleted. --187.132.10.249 (talk) 02:46, 10 December 2011 (UTC)
- see reference on repeater section —AMAPO (talk) 08:55, 11 December 2011 (UTC)
Wikipedia does not fit in repeated information
[edit]Hello. There is a problem that is very absurd that is this article and other articles in which, speaking of the same subject, ie lists of television channels in Mexico, which is that list are 32 other listings TV channels (each corresponding to each state). ¿There, do it? 32 lists are merged or deleted this is ready, because you can not be the listing and the 32 others listed because it is the same information.
These are listed |
Aguascalientes • Baja California • Baja California Sur • Campeche • Chiapas • Chihuahua • Coahuila • Colima • Distrito Federal • Durango • Guanajuato • Guerrero • Hidalgo • Jalisco • Mexico • Michoacan • Morelos • Nayarit • Nuevo León • Oaxaca • Puebla • Querétaro • Quintana Roo • San Luis Potosí • Sinaloa • Sonora • Tabasco • Tamaulipas • Tlaxcala • Veracruz • Yucatán • Zacatecas |

- Why stop there? also delete all these following North American states (about a 100 lists):
Just leave the countries' lists at the bottom... good luck with that, (sarcasm) -AMAPO (talk) 02:39, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- POS... that is going to be necessary, since there is a list of United States TV channels with indicative that start with the initials of K and W and there is also a list of Canada TV channels — Preceding unsigned comment added by 187.132.231.212 (talk) 02:37, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
Information repeaters
[edit]Hello. There is information about repeaters with television stations in Mexico, since in this page is all about the relay, ie the channel transmits the place and power. How do you see?

September 2014 format change
[edit]In the summer of 2014 (15 August 2014), I began working on an updated format for both the station tables and this list. The new list format not only takes advantage of newer IFT resources to bring the articles up to date (notably there are many, many more digital facilities), but it also adds station sorting, stations by state, etc.
Notably onlyinclude tags are used for the various articles. That means that to edit the lists, you must go to the state list and edit it there. The changes will show up in both the state and national lists. This is a rather unconventional use of onlyinclude, but it reduces redundancy and out of date references. - While I'm not 'impartial' here (as I suggested doing it this way as a solution to the 'de-synchronized lists' problem), I whole-heartedly endorse this change, and think Raymie deserves major kudos for the immense amount of work he has put into this. Reventtalk 20:12, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
Other notes and changelog
[edit]- December 31, 2014: Audited affiliates of Canal 5 and Canal de las Estrellas according to IFT lists of affiliates of each. In several cases Televisa had swapped the two in various cities. Each of those has been corrected. Raymie (t • c) 04:54, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
- February 10, 2015: Similar audit for Azteca 7/13 affils. There were several switches of these two as well. I also think the list has a mistake in re Tamazunchale, but I'll let the list (which is a citable source) work here. Raymie (t • c) 05:06, 11 February 2015 (UTC)
Listing shadow channels (repeaters)
[edit]In 2015, the RPC began listing official authorizations for repeaters, something I never thought would ever happen!
I only list repeaters on the tables in a few circumstances:
- Their ERP is greater than 15 kW (chosen as it is the cutoff for low-power TV stations in the United States) or
- They are more than 60 mi/100 km from the main transmitter location or
- They serve a significant population.
Except where the station is well-established, an RPC authorization (or, failing that, for northern Mexico, a recent entry to the FCC database) is pretty much required for this. Raymie (t • c) 08:20, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
