Can we get rid of this "Dire Wolf" project?

With the recent news that Dire wolves were quite distantly related to wolves & other canids. This project just seems rather superficial compared to other projects, which is using animals from the same species. Can't forget the environmental & conservation uses of these projects. To avoid an edit war, I hope to see any reason why this should be listed. Monsieur X (talk) 10:28, 24 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Selective breeding

The Selective breeding section should be removed. Neither the quagga, nor the aurochs nor the European wild horse have been "resurrected" by selective breeding. There is already a page for "breeding-back". DFoidl (talk) 12:18, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please note WP:OVERSECTION. It is not normal to include subsection headings when a section only contains a single section with a single paragraph. Various aurochs back-breeding programmes have made significant progress, with Taurus Project/Rewilding Europe planning to release their backbreed aurochs into the wilds starting in 2025, and there are plans to reintroduce them to parts in the UK such as Scottland in 2026.
