The IP editor has been adding dubious/doubtful content to the article. They have also added obviously incorrect entries. As it stands, the article already had major sourcing issues in regards to its content, as many of the entries are unsourced. To say this article is a dumpster fire doesn't do enough to convey just how messed up it is. I have tagged the article as needing attention from a subject matter expert, but so far, no one has heeded that call. TheGrandDelusion(Send a message)03:37, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I can see there are a lot of arbitrary changes but specifically why are the two additions mentioned a problem? I'm not asking you to prove they are false, but what makes you think they are inappropriate? Johnuniq (talk) 04:00, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted this edit earlier today as dubious. The TV series added, The Berenstain Bears (2003 TV series), is an animated children's series from 2003 that aired on PBS Kids. The IP added the series to this list, stating that the series aired on TV Land between 2003 and 2006. I considered it dubious because the genre is not of the type that would air on TV Land (a preschool television show on a network that airs adult-oriented sitcoms, mostly from CBS's library). There were also other reasons why I thought this edit was dubious, too (e.g., The Berenstain Bears originally aired on PBS Kids from 2003 until 2004 according to its article, which would mean it would have been airing on TV Land at the same time as its original run on PBS Kids; in addition, there is no mention of TV Land anywhere on The Berenstain Bears' article; a Google search of ""the berenstain bears" "TV Land"" brought up zero hits that were relevant on the first page of results, etc.).
After I made the initial revert, I looked at the page history as I saw the last accepted edit was from the same IP; I reverted those other edits too because the addition of one of the shows added by the IP, "The Flintstones", was a show that I was almost 100% positive never aired on the network and a quick Google search seemed to confirm my suspicion. At that point, my belief was that the IP was just adding random shows to the page. Hope this helps to explain my reasoning. Aoi (青い) (talk) 04:44, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, that's the kind of information that might lead to admin action. In case you did not see it, there was a request for protection at permalink. I am waiting for the IP to reply to the message I left at their talk, or their next edit at this article. If there is a problem, please ping me and I will see what should be done. Briefly outline why any new edit is a problem. Johnuniq (talk) 09:54, 12 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
