- ... that while one of the justices of the German Federal Constitutional Court was in office for only 133 days, another served for over 26 years on the court? Source: Ley, Richard (1982). "Die Erstbesetzung des Bundesverfassungsgerichtes". Zeitschrift für Parlamentsfragen (in German). 13 (4): 521 [526]. JSTOR 24218513.
- ALT1: ... that
- Comment: The source states specifically (in German) that that one justice (Leusser) served for four month and another justice (Geiger) served for 26 years (p. 526). The specific duration of their service was calculated automatically by using the source "Badura, Peter; Dreier, Horst, eds. (2001). 50 Jahre Bundesverfassungsgericht (in German). Vol. II: Klärung und Fortbildung des Verfassungsrechts. Tübingen: Mohr Siebeck. ISBN 3-16-147627-1."

- New enough. Long enough. Neutral -- a list article. Reliable, meticulous citations throughout. AGF on the German sources. QPQ is not done yet but the nominator is below the 5-DYK threshold. The hook is cited inline though it might come across as dry. Then again the subject matter is a list of justices. Unless some other editor can suggest a more interesting hook, it's GTG for me. - @WatkynBassett and Hybernator: okay, hear me out. This could be a bit more interesting if we center on the shorter-term one:
- ALT0a: ... that Claus Lesser, a justice on the German Federal Constitution Court, served for only four months?
- It's not fantastic, but I think it's a little better? theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (she/they) 05:58, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- I thought that the original hook was a bit more interesting as it dealt with with the wildy different lengths of the terms of office. But as I am not at all experienced with making DYK interesting, I gladly defer to you, @Theleekycauldron: To make ALT0a formally correct it should read as:
- ... that Claus Leusser, a justice of the German Federal Constitutional Court, served for only four months?

- @Theleekycauldron and Hybernator: do either of you approve of WatkynBassett's ALT0a above? If so, can you add the tick? Z1720 (talk) 01:16, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
- . Sorry, I didn't know that it was still pending. ALT0a works. GTG. Hybernator (talk) 01:20, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
Promoted ALT0a (WatkynBassett version) to Prep 7. Z1720 (talk) 02:33, 17 April 2022 (UTC)
