If you have come here to post an edit request to change the box office collections for a film, please provide a reliable independently verified source to support your request. On 1 November 2024, it was proposed that this article be moved to List of highest-grossing Indian cinema films. The result of the discussion was not moved.

Remove 'Robertt' Kannada movie from the list

Roberrt (2021) was initially reported to have grossed ₹102 crore. However, in 2024, the film's producer admitted that the figure had been fabricated, revealing the actual collection to be only ₹55 crore. Hence exclude from the list. ^[1]

Collection of Malayalam movies

marco becomes 9 th highest grossing movie of Malayalam by supressing then 9th grossing movie "Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil" which got 90 crores . But film neru which got 86 cr still in position of 10. Please keep range for Pushpa 2 as followed for other films, 1830cr seems exaggerated but to keep things fair please put range.

Clarification on Box Office Collection Reporting Approach

Hi, I have a question. The collection figures for Pushpa 2 mentioned are the highest reported numbers and the most common figures across three or four references. However, for other films, we follow a range—from the lowest to the highest reported—for better accuracy, given the absence of an established box office tracking body in India.

Are we sticking to the range approach or using the common figure from multiple sources? I ask because I’ve noticed that Pushpa 2’s collection figures are consistently updated to reflect the higher end, whereas when I made a similar edit on the Kalki 2898 AD page, I was advised to follow the range, and every approved reference must be kept in consideration to determine a range.
