[edit]Many scenes from the movie, The Bright Shining Lie starring Bill Paxton, were filmed in parts of Thailand. Many scenes were filmed in Kanchanaburi. I was an extra in the film myself. Most of the people playing US soldiers in the film were actually tourists, backpackers, and English teachers. Some of the black characters were Nigerians and others from Bangkok. Surprisingly there weren't many Americans making up the soldiers in the film. I was one of the few atthe location I worked at. 124.121.33.19 (talk) 11:51, 6 November 2013 (UTC)
