I have just added some more recent African bishops to the list. I find the layout of the list a bit confusing although that may be partly due to the structure not being consistently followed. I'd like some agreement on this Talk page from other contributing editors as to the structure of the page so I know where to add names in future and whether it needs help to be re-arranged. The intention of the current layout seems to be to divide bishops into categories of Primate, Metropolitan, Diocesan and Suffragan (includes Assistant Bishops), then next subheading is by Anglican province or national church, then sometimes by a region with names bullet points in any order. The main two issues which confuse me are that some diocesan bishops seem to be in the Suffragan sections. I have moved the African ones I knew about up to diocesan section but there seems to be many more who may be diocesan bishops but will need further investigation. The other issue is the order of the Anglican churches. Are they supposed to be in alphabetical order within their section? I have re-arranged a few to be in alpha order. Another issue is that I think the names should be in chronological order of first date of installation within their national Anglian church. As it stands, the list seems a little haphazard. I can go along with having sections for different "rankings" of bishops, even though it means some women will appear in more than one section, but I think there also needs to be an order (alphabetical) for national Anglican churches and then a date of installation order for the names of the bishops. Do any other contributing edtors have views/suggestions on this?LPascal (talk) 12:29, 22 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
