Should this really be alphabetized by first name rather than last name? Kurt Weber 14:44, 21 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Removing Patrick White from List

[edit]

Patrick White was a Noble prize winning novelist, who wrote plays and essays and an autobiography. Searching the New York Public Library Catalogue and the Australian National Library, I can find no work of his as a biographer. Even if he wrote a biography which I somehow missed (always possible) I'd think it inappropriate to list him as a BIOGRAPHER, since that would be the caboose, as it were on his train of accomplishments.Meb53 19:23, 26 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nelson Mandela?

[edit]

I am wondering why Nelson Mandela's name appears at the bottom of this list (in lowercase letters with no hyperlink, mind you). I honestly can't say whether or not he is a biographer, but I can pretty comfortably say he didn't write a biography of "south aficara," which my very very short research shows is only a country name misspelled. I don't want to erase it entirely in case there is legitimacy, but can we check on this? Thanks, Bob the ducq (talk) 18:47, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
