What do we need to do to get our organisation deleted from the list?

[edit]

We don't "self-identify ideologically as Trotskyist". We are against Trotskyism and any of the 4th internationales. 46.53.240.67 (talk) 19:06, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Who's "we"? Yue🌙 20:16, 14 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Worker's Paradigm, mentioned in Romania 46.53.244.253 (talk) 07:22, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Workers' Paradigm is not in this list. Yue🌙 08:22, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
It was called "Scientific communism", but I've mentioned it's only a name of the publishing organ, so it got changed for some time (and my comment on Talk got deleted)
Now the incorrect name is here again 46.53.244.253 (talk) 08:28, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Well your publishing organ has the same name as an trotskyist organization which is how the confusion begun, check the source for it, it's another group. 109.166.137.226 (talk) 09:51, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
No, that is not true. As I explained in an edit, Scientific Communism is the Romanian division of Worker's Paradigm. Both of them are anti trotkyist organizations. Check the history of edits, I removed both names from the list due to the fact that the source cited is Scientific Communism Instagram. Source for anti Trotskyism in Russian for Worker's Paradigm: https://vk.com/wall-216586518_100 and in Romanian for Scientific Communism:https://www.instagram.com/p/DATW7TyI5qH/?igsh=MWJ6Ynp4b2F1czVl Andreifochet (talk) 11:20, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I do understand that, but Vasile Ernu, in the cited book, recounts an iteraction with a trotskyist organization with the same name as your instagram page, you could excuse someone looking online for this group for mistaking it for yours. The instagram page was wrongly linked, that was taken cared of, and citation towards its original mention was put in place.
So to reiterate, this is just a big mistake, your "publishing organ," as you call it was mistaked for a trotskyist organization, thank you for making us aware of the confusion. 109.166.137.226 (talk) 12:22, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
can you give an exact quotation of page 51 of his book where Scientific Communism is mentioned? i cannot find it online Andreifochet (talk) 12:31, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, the organization is refered by name, and more or less described as Trotskyist in the following passage from page 51 (in romanian):
(in english):
" The best example of detachment that I could give, I found at the Marxist group Scientific Communism, which was holding some open discussions that I attended with Bogdan Stănescu in the summer of 2010. Although some of the members were and still are quite active in the socio-cultural activities of the Green Party, the atmosphere was ultra intellectual and even reminiscent of the communist nomenclature. The endless discussions about Trotsky's texts or polemics against Stalinist theories within the group completely failed to address burning issues such as the still felt effects of the 2008 crisis or the anti-democratic slippages that Băsescu makes on a weekly basis." 109.166.137.226 (talk) 13:28, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that the organization mentioned by Ernu is wrongly translated. It's ”The Scientific Communism” and not ”Scientific Communism”. If this translation is kept, it should be clearly stated that it should not be confused with „Comunism Științific” (Scientific Communism). Andreifochet (talk) 13:42, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
On the possible mistranslation, sure. Now on mentioning your organization well... this is an unreasonable demand, for 3 reasons: firstly because this page is a list of trotskyist organizations, not about leftists groups of the same name; secondly, for example here we have the Revolutionary Communist Party, which is a trotskyist party in the UK, wile there is a maoist organization of the same name in the US, and no mention of it is on this page; and thirdly, as you have mentioned, this just the name of an media outlet not of yours not the organization, just imagine if the same was done for organizations named "Serve the People" for example.
All in all, I am sorry that your clique was tagged into this without reason, but now that there is no link to it, there also isn't any reason to mention it either. 109.166.137.226 (talk) 14:31, 15 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
