Why were a lot of the citations removed? 🐔Chicdat ChickenDatabase 10:00, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Because they were irrelvant - one of the systems that remained over water had 4 or 5 references when 1 is sufficent.Jason Rees (talk) 22:38, 28 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. 🐔Chicdat ChickenDatabase 21:23, 29 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Discrepancies

[edit]
  • Fleur 1978 is estimated at 82 kts per IBTRACS, however, a TCR shows that it had winds of 100 kts.
  • Benjamine 1979 is estimated at 82 kts per IBTRACS, however, a TCR shows that it had winds of 90 kts.
  • Celine 1979 is estimated at 92 kts per IBTRACS, however, a TCR shows that it had winds of 110 kts.
  • Idylle 1979 is estimated at 95 kts per IBTRACS, however, a TCR shows that it had winds of 110 kts.
  • Pancho-Helinda is estimated by BoM at 95 kts in the SWIO, while MFR thinks it had peak winds of 80 kts. - Jason Rees (talk) 02:26, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Landfalls table

[edit]

Can someone please do the ITC landfalls table? I can't because the table is confusing and the sources don't all specify landfall intensity. Thanks, 🐔Chicdat ChickenDatabase 11:52, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't personally see the point of adding in a landfall table since most of the landfalls in this basin are on Madagascar or Mozambique and landfall intensity isn't always defined. I think it would be much better if we did a section called Land Interaction where we could be more specific about which systems impacted which island nation.Jason Rees (talk) 12:56, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Great idea. 🐔Chicdat ChickenDatabase 15:30, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
