Additional entries

[edit]

Can be added to the listing under United Kingdom: LIEUTENANT COLONEL WERNER WILLIAM THOMAS MASSIAH-PALMER: "serving as Dep. Asst. Director of Graves Registration and Enquiries, late Northumberland Fusiliers". Burial site: EDGWARE (ST. MARGARET) CHURCHYARD Back Row. 15. United Kingdom".

You may also want to include Sir Frank Higginson (1890-1958): "architect; Secretary to the Imperial War Graves Commission; Director of Works; Chief Admin Officer (Deputy Controller, Central European District) [...] He died aged 68 at Melton-Mowbray on the 20 November 1958. His ashes were scattered in Cabaret - Rouge British Cemetery, France, the cemetery he designed as a young man. A bronze plaque in his memory is placed on the wall of the shelter building."

@PoppyMercier: to let you know of the above two suggestions. I may be able to provide or find photos for the above as well. Carcharoth (talk) 00:51, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Memorial plaque to Higginson and his wife
As well as this photo of the Higginson memorial plaque, the grave of Massiah-Palmer can be seen here. Carcharoth (talk) 01:07, 29 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for that! I’ve now added both as I agree they fit nicely to the topic in hand. I think I now have every known grave but no doubt I will find more!! Now onto going out and getting photos… PoppyMercier (talk) 19:27, 30 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
