Hat-tricks Conceded

[edit]

There are two entries for 13 Mar 1880 with two different scorelines. Were these two hat-tricks in different games?--Goonerak (talk) 13:43, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops! I have now fixed my error. Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 19:15, 21 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Why do we need hat-tricks conceded? "List of England national football team hat-tricks" suggests only those scored by England. --Jameboy (talk) 17:47, 12 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Current player

[edit]

Very nice list - certainly an interesting read. One little point I'd like to make however is that the highlighting of current players is a little confusing. Could it be explained a little better? Clearly, it's meant to denote players who still play any type of football (I come to that conclusion because Paul Scholes is highlighted yet he retired from international football years ago) but the current wording makes it sound more like the players current play for the national team. Would anyone have any problem with being made clearer? Ryan PostlethwaiteSee the mess I've created or let's have banter 17:45, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, this had crossed my mind as being potentially dangerous and confusing ground. I think I may even remove it as it doesn't add much to the list. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:48, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hat-tricks by the women's team

[edit]

An IP editor added some details about hat-tricks by the women's, but was reverted by Mattythewhite, who said "Separate team. please discuss at talk page." I would prefer to add details of the women's team's hat-tricks here, what do others think? Absolutelypuremilk (talk) 21:25, 23 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Don't mind whether it's here or in a separate page but the list is incomplete as Jodie Taylor isn't the only England player to have scored a hattrick. For example Toni Duggan and Fara Williams have both got two.

Add references please. The Rambling Man (talk) 12:51, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
And I think it belongs in its own article, or at the England women's national football team page, since there are so few of them. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:01, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and Duggan's article does assert she scored two hat-tricks, but Wiliams has scored precisely zero. The Rambling Man (talk) 13:04, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Willie Hall 1938

[edit]

Three of Hall's goals in this match came in the space of 3 1/2 mins, which is still a world record time for an International hat-trick. See Hall's wiki page.46.7.195.132 (talk) 11:57, 28 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Cool, if you have a reliable source for it, then perhaps we can expand it a little in the lead. The Rambling Man (talk) 12:21, 28 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies: The record has since been broken: http://www.guinnessworldrecords.com/world-records/fastest-hat-trick-in-an-international-football-(soccer)-match46.7.195.132 (talk) 22:17, 28 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
