Semmering?
[edit]I'm sure that nobody seriously suggests the Semmering Pass to be the outer limit of the Alps. That would mean that the Fischbacher Alpen, the Wechsel system and so on would all be their own little mountain range unconnected with the rest of the Alps. This is clearly nonsense. I don't know exactly where the Eastern limit of the Alps is (Leithagebirge? Bisamberg? Hundesheimer Berge?), but it's certainly not the Semmering. --Stemonitis 11:44, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
- I agree this page is complete trash. Like many of the Alps subpages, it comes from the 1911 Britannica, when plate tectonics were not known yet. Martg76 22:20, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
