Contesting SD of this article
[edit]This company runs a server for a county school system I know where all the students are issued laptops to take home. Please see the article Henrico County Public Schools there you will see that over 26,000 students have computers that run on this product. That does not include the thousands of other colleges/educational institutions that use this service. I think that it is notable enough to have an article and if it's not deleted, I can edit the article further to make it longer that a stub. Mithrandir (talk) 14:11, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
- I agree that the company is notable, so removed the tag per WP:CSD, as I am not the author. However, the article needs a lot of work. I encourage the original author to look for reliable sources to add content to the article. I'll help, too, as time allows later this evening. JoeSperrazza (talk) 15:23, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
Content Filtering Quirk
[edit]On the Lightspeed site, it says that their filtering system maintains accuracy through constant downloading of the entire internet. How is this possible? Could it maybe be hyperbole? —FrostyBeep 12:33, 22 October 2012 (UTC)
I agree that Lighspeed systems as a whole is a joke. I had to email my school's IT department just to unblock Wikipedia access. AJLooMNoS (talk) 15:36, 13 January 2016 (UTC)
Maybe they use web crawlers to check the websites like a search engine would? Maybe the onsite filter for the school is not directly controlled by lightspeed and in the hands of the school itself? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.39.108.106 (talk) 12:11, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
I think that this article needs to be extended, but I'm not sure how. I don't think it should be deleted, though. Any suggestions? Gargantuan Brain (talk) 18:29, 3 December 2020 (UTC)
