Expanded article

[edit]

In line with my efforts on the previous David Attenborough series articles, I have slightly restructured this one and added an opening consistent with the others. Episode summaries will follow as soon as I have finished those for The Life of Mammals. Chris 42 12:19, 20 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pterosaurs - most famous of forgotten flyers?

[edit]

At the beginning of Chapter 2 of the book, it is said that, "The first flying backboned animal of which we have any knowledge was that most famous of fossils, Archaeopteryx." Weren't Pterosaurs earlier? Was this changed in later editions of the book? (You can see the sentence if you look up the book on amazon, go to "look side!", and search for Archaeopteryx.)
