How do inline citations work?

[edit]

{{helpme}} This entry keeps getting flagged for needing verifiable sources and, now, inline citations. I was told that listing IMDb is not a verifiable source, and that the other sources listed are not complete without inline citations. Because this is a stub, I'm confused as to what else I need to include in this article, and why the criteria for its sources differ from this stub, for example: http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Mike_Costanza Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
