Suspicious numbers?

[edit]

the numbers 1.337 and 420 both show up in this article? clever vandalism? I dunno ArmyOfFluoride (talk) 03:01, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The period is 1.337302088331 s [1] (+/- 15 in the last two decimal places, if you care) The above ref also states approximate pulse widths of 28 milliperiods (at 10% of peak intensity) and 45 milliperiods (at 50%) By my calculation that is between 37 - 60 milliseconds. Also, this article contradicts PSR B1919+21 which gives "0.04 second" for the width. I'll change this article to 0.04 for now, since that agress with the ref. --mikeu talk 04:52, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
