[edit]What's the problem with this page? User:Kungfuadam has been giving me a hard time about this. This page is neither advertising nor an infringement on copyright. I have received permission from the LA Freewaves director t create this page. Is documenting film festivals and other notable artistic events against wikipedia policy? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Freewaves (talk • contribs) .

[edit]The following was incorrectly posted on the article. Moved here by Gwernol 21:05, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Could everyone stop pretending to be licensed encyclopedians and help me out with this page. User:Kungfuadam insists that this is advertisement and copyright infringement, despite the fact that I have explained that the Director of Freewaves asked me to create this page AND I did not know the necessary procedures to inform the wiki admins of this. This is the first page I have created, and did not know any better. Furthermore, to say this page is advertisement is to say that the Sundance Film Festival is advertisement. Or that any artistic event is advertisement. LA Freewaves has been around since 1989 and since then has hosted 9 film festivals, incorporating artists from all over the world. This is fact, not rhetoric. But User:Kungfuadam has nominated this page twice for deletion, the first time it was reverted by User:Bigtop. Can someone help me out? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Freewaves (talk • contribs) .
- I've just checked a past edit of the page, and yes, it does look like an advertisement, although this is mostly restricted to the first two sections. However, before the article is rewritten (and I'll personally give User:Freewaves a starting point fr it in his talkpage), I suggest we investigate whether it is noteworthy of its own article. --JB Adder | Talk 16:12, 1 August 2006 (UTC)
