[edit]Notorious but unknown until 1999, this article became famous due to Panfilo Lacson's high profile murder case: 1999 PACC Murder case: In 1999, 11 members of Kuratong Baleleng were killed by the Presidential Anti-Crime Commission, led by Panfilo Lacson. In 2003, the High Tribual ordered the Quezon City Regional Trial Court to try the case against Mr. Lacson and 33 other police officials. The trial court however dismissed the criminal case, finding absence of probable cause. The special prosecuting team later moved for new tiral before the High Tribunal to remand case to the trial court to present new evidence against Senator Lacson, inter alia. On May 2, 2008, the Supreme Court of the Philippines resolved to take cognizance of the motion of the families of the slain Kuratong Baleleng members for revival of the murder case against police officials and Senator Panfilo Lacson.[1] --Florentino floro (talk) 06:06, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

The result of the proposal was move per request. Gives all indications of being a proper noun.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 13:57, 26 March 2011 (UTC)
Kuratong baleleng → Kuratong Baleleng — The available reliable sources capitalize the first letter of the second word in the name of this crime syndicate. Currently, the target page redirects here. Requesting a move over redirect.Qwyrxian (talk) 12:37, 18 March 2011 (UTC)

"Update" template
[edit]The section on the 1999 murder case sure seems out of date to me. Both the WP article and the linked citation seem to indicate that the Supreme Court was in the middle of hearing the case, but I can't find a reliable source to show what happened. I'll look again at another time, but it would be good to get current info. Qwyrxian (talk) 12:54, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
Botanical Youth Club
[edit]Could someone with access to more information please explain what the Botanical Youth Club is? It certainly doesnt sound like the sort of organization I would epxect to spawn a thousands-strong organized crime syndicate. —Soap— 23:53, 25 August 2017 (UTC)
