This google search substantiates that multiple sources make the assertion that Harriman was almost as well known, in the USSR, as FLOTUS Eleanor Roosevelt. The assertion is quoted in just about every one of her obituaries, and it is made in the profile of her already cited earlier in that paragraph. I think that is sufficient.
If there is a policy or guideline that suggest an additional citation is a good idea, please link to it here. Otherwise I think the {{cn}} should be removed. Geo Swan (talk) 10:29, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The Katyn massacre is a complicated topic, with its own article.
This edit added a {{cn}}, and summarized the conclusion voiced in George Sanford's book that the Soviets were responsible. Even if that opinion is now widely shared I question whether this article is the place to assert it. I suggest that opinions on who was actually responsible only belong in this article in so far as they are related to Mortimer.
I followed the reference to the Sanford book added in this edit. Sanford's coverage of Mortimer's appearance before a committee reviewing the Soviet role in the killing says she changed her mind over whether the Germans or the Soviets were responsible. So... the {{cn}} was unnecessary. Geo Swan (talk) 10:47, 2 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
