This article suffers from numerous grammatical and style errors as well as several inconsistencies and/or factual errors and will need to be re-written. For just one example, the text as currently written states that she became the first female bank president in California at Santa Ana Bank. According to the list toward the bottom, she was there from 1975 to 1977. The text next declares that a few years later, she moved to Pan American National bank as president. Yet the aforementioned list gives her dates there as 1972-1975 and her positions as VP and Cashier. I'm assuming that those titles are not given in the correct, sequential order. No dates are given for her time at American National Bank, also in Santa Ana, unless that's a typo meant to be Pan American National Bank- which just makes the whole thing more confusing.

The note regarding the Hispanic naming tradition has no relevance here- her father was Donaciano Ortega, not Dávalos. Her mother was Catarina Dávalos. Since the traditional Hispanic naming sequence has no legal bearing in the US, her parents did what many traditionally-minded but US-based Hispanics do, used her mother's maiden name as a middle name. Therefore, she is properly, Ms. Ortega, not Ms. Dávalos. She could be Dávalos Ortega, but I can find no reference that she actually adhered to that form of address, while I have found one (namely, her swearing-in ceremony) where Ms. Ortega alone was used. The Original Historygeek (talk) 07:25, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
