I think I will translate the information from the French wikipedia at http://fr.wiki.x.io/wiki/Kateb_Yacine, as it is a very notable Algerian writer. The problem is that the French article is written by a single person, and maybe waxes a bit lyrical, but it's still rather good.--Cleversnail 19:41, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Make sure you add the quote « La francophonie est une machine politique néocoloniale, qui ne fait que perpétuer notre aliénation, mais l’usage de la langue française ne signifie pas qu’on soit l’agent d’une puissance étrangère, et j’écris en français pour dire aux français que je ne suis pas français », as it is very important.
