Brick and mortar?
[edit]Despite the reference given, it seems clear from the photographs that the main walls of this structure are built from stone and mortar. It is likely that the bricks used in the analysis mentioned were from an internal part of the castle, but the outer walls are of stone, as can be seen (no ref required here I think) from the irregular shapes and sizes of the pieces, although there is ref here if necessary.
