=Article status and importance scale

[edit]

I've gone through all the references cited, vouch for it meeting requirements of a good article status and would like to suggest that this article be moved to the same. Please lower this article importance to Mid-class also, as there are other articles in the project that currently require more editing to near completion. =Check for Neutrality

[edit]

This article is a promotional material and biased to promote Kapil Sibal and should be checked for Neutrality. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikicrawlerone (talkcontribs) 23:49, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This article sounds like promotional material. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.93.41.143 (talk) 02:03, 14 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Not neutral. No criticism section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.56.217.50 (talk) 17:01, 15 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Highly promotional material. I suggest adding a controversy section. Also this line "Kapil Sibal has visited several countries such as the USA, Canada, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Switzerland, China, Taiwan, Bhutan, South Africa, Nigeria, Senegal and several South East Asian Countries, throughout Europe and North Africa." is completely unnecessary so I am removing it. Edit request from 122.177.82.64, 17 August 2011

[edit]

This article has been recently vandalized. As of now the first line reads: Kapil Sibal alias Chor (Punjabi: ਕਪਿਲ ਸਿਬਲ, Hindi: कपिल सिब्बल; born 8 August 1948) is a Non-Indian politician and a non-practicing lawyer.

It should be: Kapil Sibal (Punjabi: ਕਪਿਲ ਸਿਬਲ, Hindi: कपिल सिब्बल; born 8 August 1948) is an Indian politician and a practicing lawyer.

The person being discussed is a senior cabinet minister in the Govt. of India and a senior lawyer of great repute. Vandalism should be strongly discouraged and the such profiles should only be allowed to be edited by established Wikipedia editors. --122.177.82.64 (talk) 19:25, 17 August 2011 122.177.82.64 (talk) 19:25, 17 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Another vandalism

[edit]

I came to find information about Sibal and found an instance of obvious vandalism that I rolled back. As Sibal appears to have received recent notoriety for his censorship activities, I'm looking for the way to request a limited (anonymous edits for short duration) edit lock to be installed on the page. I have no interest in the subject of the article, but don't like vandalism.

Done. Thanks for the alert. As this is a long term problem, I've semi-protected the page for 3 months. Feezo (send a signal | watch the sky) 18:30, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Current position

[edit]

What is his current position? It seems that the information is not updated. -- Abhijeet Safai (talk) 09:06, 26 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Kapil Sibal Wikipedia

[edit]

Hi Wiki Team,

While surfing, I found some issue with the page with the URL: http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Kapil_Sibal. The DOB for Kapil Sibal is not the same throughout. In the beginning it shows Kapil Sibal born on 9 August 1948. But in the later sections it has changed to 8 August 1948. Kindly look into the issue, as people like me believes and refers WIKI for everything. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.67.6.11 (talk) 15:20, 18 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in Kapil Sibal

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Kapil Sibal's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "Press":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 11:27, 26 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
