Fair use rationale for Image:Kalifornia.jpg
[edit]Image:Kalifornia.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Horror ?
[edit]Is "horror" the best description ? -- Beardo (talk) 22:51, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
- Probably from the horror film description: Prevalent elements include ghosts, aliens, vampires, werewolves, demons, gore, torture, vicious animals, evil witches, monsters, zombies, cannibals, and serial killers. — Wyliepedia 05:40, 2 August 2014 (UTC)
Development section
[edit]"Given budgetary constraints permitted the hiring of another writer," - doesn't make sense. Anyone work out what is meant ? -- Beardo (talk) 22:53, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
- Beardo, the reference says the following, "The last thing I wanted at that time was to inherit the added responsibility of fixing the script that we'd been left with. Nonetheless, since there was no financing available to hire another writer, I, together with my producer and co-producer, began the first of 10 additional drafts of the script for 'Kalifornia.'" The sentence should say that they could not hire another writer. I'll make the fix. Erik (talk | contribs) 23:05, 1 June 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. I now suspect the original writer meant "prevented" rather than "permitted" but your version is closer to the source. -- Beardo (talk) 06:57, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
Home Video Release
[edit]The article says this movie was first released on home video in 1997, but I saw it on VHS when I was away at college in '95 (the first time I saw David Duchovny in anything, since I didn't start watching The X-Files until late 2nd Season.) Looking at the source page for the date reveals that it was referring to a special edition release.
