Please change the first line viz "Justdial is an Indian-based search services company founded by Venkatachalam Sthanu Subramani Mani" to "Justdial is an India-based Local Search company founded by V.S.S Mani. Justdial also aggregates and curates Social content, News, Videos, Live TV from popular publishers on trending topics." Aranya27 (talk) 09:26, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hello @Aranya27:, I have fixed it as best as I could. By any chance are you connected with Justdial in any way? -- Rohini (talk) 17:22, 3 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hello @Rohini:, Yes I head marketing at Justdial. My full name is Aranya Choudhury. 1.The current edit has a wrong information that "Justdial was acquired by Google on 10 November 2017". That's not true. Please remove that line. We are a listed company, with no acquisition from anyone whatsoever. 2. "Justdial was founded by Venkatachalam Sthanu Subramani Mani, better known as V.S.S. Mani": The founders name is V.S.S. Mani. The full name is Venkatachalam Sthanu Subramani, not Venkatachalam Sthanu Subramani Mani. 3. Justdial is also into Social, News, Videos. SO we should change "Justdial (sometimes stylised as JustDial or JD) is a company that provides location-based search for different services in India via the phone and the Internet." to "Justdial is an India-based Local Search company founded by V.S.S Mani. Justdial also aggregates and curates Social content, News, Videos, Live TV from popular publishers on trending topics.
- @Aranya27: I see that the incorrect information about acquisition by Google has already been removed. I have also fixed V.S.S. Mani's name in the lead paragraph based on your statement. However, the sentence that contains his name is referenced by this article published on Forbes India: http://www.forbesindia.com/article/big-bet/just-dial-new-world-new-game-for-vss-mani/38615/1 which mentions his name as "Venkatachalam Sthanu Subramani Mani". So, now one or more other reliable sources are needed to establish his correct name. Additionally, in the section of the article entitled "Inception", this sentence is present: "Justdial was founded in the year 1996 by V.S.S. Mani N.B, M.B, who has since...". I assume that "N.B, M.B," is part of his initials. If it is not, do respond here. --Rohini (talk) 15:48, 4 March 2019 (UTC) Addendum: With regard to this sentence you suggested: "Justdial also aggregates and curates Social content, News, Videos, Live TV from popular publishers on trending topics", are you referring to this service? https://www.justdial.com/JdSocial. -- Rohini (talk) 17:00, 4 March 2019 (UTC)

Hello @Rohini: Thanks for the change. No N.B M.B arent part of his name. We have to remove those. And yes, https://www.justdial.com/JdSocial has the social curated content. You can find live tv, news videos et al if you go to our app or mobile website (t.justdial.com) too. Also in the first paragraph , we can update the employee number to 11,452 as of March 2018. (The same is already updated in profile info on the right hand side.

- I have removed the uncited information about Google. However, company representatives should not directly edit the article; they should make edit requests as done here. Company representatives must review and comply with the conflict of interest policy and the paid editing policy(the latter is a Wikipedia Terms of Use requirement for paid editors/company representatives). While we welcome your input, you have no special rights to edit the article that other editors do not have, see WP:OWN. Wikipedia is only interested in what independent reliable sources state about article subjects. Almost all information in articles needs to be based on that; primary sources are only acceptable in limited circumstances. 331dot (talk) 08:54, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
- Hello @Isheetasengupta:, Is this statement true? "Just Dial was in news on November 10, 2017 for expected acquisition by Google and based on this news the share prices at NSE rose about 20%." It was added to the lead paragraph in the article in November 2017 and had been there since. As there were no references nor any other information or context with this sentence, I misunderstood it and made a mistake while rephrasing it yesterday. My apologies. I also added the "citation needed" tag to it because the original sentence was not supported by a citation. I see that User: 331dot has fixed it since. --Rohini (talk) 15:32, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
- With regard to your request for adding this sentence: "Justdial also aggregates and curates Social content, News, Videos, Live TV from popular publishers on trending topics", please refer to my response to User:Aranya27 on the same topic on this Talk Page. -- Rohini (talk) 17:02, 4 March 2019 (UTC)
