This is informational only regarding a band. The links do not go to any site that sells merchandise, but rather, is informational only. What do I need to do to prevent it from being deleted? I am not a member of this band or an employee of this band. I edited some of the links. Is that enough? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.42.39.102 (talkcontribs)

The main issue here is whether the band is notable enough to be included in an encyclopedia. Please read WP:BAND to see the criteria. If Juke Kartel meets those criteria, you'll need to provide citations that demonstrate notability. These citations should be from reputable, reliable, third-party published sources. See WP:VERIFY for more info on that. Good luck, Satori Son 05:41, 22 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Please excuse me if I break any wikipedia protocols or customs but this is my first ever wiki contribution. I've seen one two many wikipedia articles lost to in my opinion overzealous pruning and this is one where I know I could help out. Anyway the following urls will hopefully be enough information to keep this article. Here is the url to purchase tickets from ticket master for Juke Kartel's current American tour demonstrating the band is currently on an international tour. The lead singer, Toby Rand placed third in Rockstar supernova, unfortunately I cant link to the official CBS website since the information is encased in flash, but this information is repeated in the wikipedia supernova article along with a host of other sites throughout the net. I'm not too sure if gossip mags rate as an authoritative source, but here is in interview with toby published by who talking about toby's placement in the competition and also the band. This I believe satisfies item three and item nine from the "Criteria for musicians and ensembles" list. Cheers Santisaun 12:37, 24 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The information in the 'Current Activities' section has clearly been directly copied and pasted from the band's biography. I nominate for a rewrite.

I don't really have the time or inclination to do a proper re-write, but I am going to try to prune a few of the obvious POV violations. 70.130.154.13 07:50, 27 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your changes have helped the article actually become readable! Well done! SilverNightFire 00:40, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Out of Date

[edit]

This article is horribly out of date. But the same factors seem to apply, they are on a break, looking for a record deal, waiting to record the album (i'm personally getting sick of waiting). Has anyone heard anything? Anything that can be added ..? Otherwise i think a copied article from 12 months ago isn't necessarily apprpriate for here. kiac (talk) 08:08, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Gave it my best to improve it. Added references and up to date content etc kiac (talk) 12:38, 9 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Toby has been talking about moving back to the states. He is currently dating Nicky Wheelan of Neighbors fame and former girlfriend of David Spade. My understanding is that some news is coming in the next two to three weeks that would strongly substantiate the continuation of this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.34.251.154 (talk) 23:46, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This band is now a signed band with Emporium Music. www.emporiummusic.biz and has moved to the US to record their debut album with famed producer Rick Parasher. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.34.251.154 (talk) 21:58, 10 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]
