Not his name
[edit]His name was Juan Ramis y Ramis. The botanical abreviation is Ramis y Ramis ( https://www.ipni.org/a/8126-1 or https://kiki.huh.harvard.edu/databases/botanist_search.php?mode=details&id=80172 ). All his family members were "Ramis y Ramis" (Pedro, Bartolomé, José, Antonio).
We can also see it in the signature attached to the article. The Royal spanish acedemy also refers to him as http://dbe.rah.es/biografias/18307/juan-ramis-y-ramis Translating his name to "Joan Ramis i Ramis" is a modern invention
Name
[edit]This is collaborating in the erasure of a culture, that's what it is. And you can provide as many web pages made by xenophobes as you want, because there are some people who are in fact specialists in this sort of things and the states pay well this kind of contributions to their homogeneity. But the fact is that the English Wikipedia is collaborating here in the dissimulation of the existence of a people, and that's something that can be taken for granted --unfortunately-- in the case of some Wikipedias that were kidnapped by bigots, but one should be able to expect something better from the English Wikipedia.
