Joseon envoys to Japan

[edit]

The names of these diplomats may need to be tweaked? ... Hangul? ... Hanja? ... Revised Romanization?

These historical figures need birth/death dates? ... portraits/images?--Tenmei (talk) 19:30, 12 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]
EX. I This diagram graphically represents one view of the articles which are proposed for merge:
A=Joseon tongsinsa
B=all missions to Japan
EX. II This diagram graphically represents an alternate view of the articles which are proposed for merge:
A=all missions to Japan
B=tongsinsa to Japan

Although a merge headnote has been posted, no explanation for it has been provided. For me, it is difficult to guess what Historiographer had in mind when proposing the merge. At present, in the absence of any compelling arguments, I see no reason to alter the two articles.

  • Oppose -- In the context of the graphs at the right, the proposed merge would seem like a move in the wrong direction.--Tenmei 23:14, 14 September 2009 require a bit of explanation. Without more, I can't guess what is actually proposed? --~~

JPOV doubt

[edit]

I note with interest that the user page for Historiographer includes the following

Perhaps it will be constructive to address this perceived issue directly. If so, this thread provides a constructive opportunity.

One way to avoid any perceived bias is to cited sources, as has been done here. I would hope this will be construed as a constructive step towards averting any suspected POV or JPOV. --Tenmei (talk) 15:41, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Upper right corner image

[edit]

I question whether this image is appropriate in this context; and in any case, it should not be posted in the upper right corner. :

"Choson mission who stole chickens fighting with Japanese citizens" from a part "Choson mission arriving at Yodo castle"[1]

Whether or not to restore this to the article needs discussion. --Tenmei (talk) 05:06, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
