Plagiarism?

[edit]

I think much of the Jorge Morel Wiki is copied from this site http://artist.getmaestro.com/Classical_Guitar_Masters.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.194.62.230 (talk) 07:46, 27 December 2007 (UTC) I apologize it seems that the site copied the information from Wikipedia and not vice versa, as stated in the external site82.194.62.230 (talk) 08:12, 27 December 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Imagine that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.95.43.253 (talk) 19:32, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Why the "Notability" flag?

[edit]

I don't understand the note at the beginning of the article questioning Morel's notability.

The man was a world renown virtuoso guitarist. During his career he performed more than 5000 international concerts, recorded 17 full-length albums, left more than 100 original compositions and 60 guitar arrangements of other composers works, and is still studied by classical guitarists today. Amazon carries his most recent biography. What more is needed for "notability"?

There are plenty of Wikipedia articles on musicians who accomplished less, and who are less well-known. Henri Cliquet-Pleyel; Jacob van Eyck; Ellen McIlwaine; Ruth Welcome, for example. Not that these people don't deserve Wikipedia articles: they do. Every one of them was an accomplished musician who contributed something significant to the world of music. The same is true of Jorge Morel.

This article is bare adulation without much content. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.206.196.35 (talk) 15:20, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
