Hi all. For the sake of transparency, I want to acknowledge that I made this page two years ago and it was deleted immediately. I reached out to the deleter at the time to discuss how I could improve the page, but they never responded. The user has now been inactive for some time, and I've rewritten this page in consultation with another veteran Wikipedia user to amend all previous issues, which were linking to social media posts and utilising an image that I had received written permission to use by the copyright holder, but was not in the public domain.
Re: edit on the 23/12/2021
Removed “notability” template message. The template message suggested the article should cite independent secondary sources that do more than trivially mention the topic, and it suggested using this link to find some: "Johniepee" -wikipedia - Google Search. The article now cites two such news sources.
And beyond what’s in the article, Johniepee’s notability is demonstrated by the fact that his Verified Artist page on Spotify shows him to have over 20,000 monthly listeners.
This all demonstrates sufficient notability, per Wikipedia’s notability guidelines. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Skhills (talk • contribs) 03:57, 23 December 2021 (UTC)
- For information, having verified listeners on Spotify or any streaming service does not indicate notability, regardless of whether it's 20,000 listeners or 20 million listeners. Richard3120 (talk) 22:04, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
