Chelsea 'bids' and transfer request

[edit]

Despite the cited sources being normally reliable, it seems someone has been ignoring the clear warning at the top of the article which states sources may be anonymous. Indeed, the 'sources' such as the BBC are just linking other publications, and none of them have any actual sources. The word 'officially' was put before 'transfer request' which is clearly wrong - no official source has commented at all. I have amended the wording to 'reportedly' and 'reported' in that section to more accurately reflect the events as sourced, although it's questionable whether this section is worthy of an encyclopedia, since it's just speculation and will presumably be replaced should Chelsea buy him with just the reported sale price - given that, should the 'bids of x, y, z' be included now?  Done - we always wait until the end of a match before updating the stats - so lots of people don't come along and add 1 cap each - Arjayay (talk) 18:28, 5 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please update. Stones received his 6th England cap yesterday.

JustBerry: If you can't be arsed to update just don't lock the page. Good grief.

Not done: - don't make personal attacks in edit requests. For what it's worth, the source you gave says nothing about a cap or a sixth anything. Ivanvector 🍁 (talk) 17:17, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

EFL Cup

[edit]

John Stones was involved in the sides who won both the 2018-19 and 2020-21 EFL Cups, this needs to be added to his honours 2A00:23C7:8119:2C01:6D7B:C667:C2D1:1F64 (talk) 23:09, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: - the BBC sources given in the finals of both these editions does not have him in the matchday squads although he has played in the earlier rounds in both. Iggy (Swan) (Contribs) 15:53, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
