Kudos

[edit]

I often tell people that if they want to see a superbly well-organized, supportive, and productive WikiProject, then they should check out WikiProject Military History. This timely article about Sgt. Maj. Canley (USMC Ret.) exemplifies WP:MIL's attentiveness to military & veteran news, and ability to quickly mobilize and respond, in this case by creating an nice article about John Canley in advance of the White House award ceremony.

I wonder where y'all learned this esprit de corps, discipline, and ability to launch a reaction force quickly and effectively? ;o)

MoH Citation

[edit]

So I noticed that the act cited on the citation here was only applicable to the Army, which means that cannot be what is actually on Canley's certificate. Not sure what act they cite, particularly because the Navy's MoH law was only modern in 1963, but it certainly was not an act in 1863. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Foxtrot5151 (talkcontribs) 05:00, 27 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
