[edit]There's bound to be additional material in Edward Croft-Murray, Decorative Painting in England. Rigaud's portrait of Bartolozzi, Cipriani and the sculptor Agostino Carlini was published in a mezzotint by J.R.Smith dated 5 March 1778; the painting is illustrated (p 123, fig 25) in Shearer West, ed. Italian Culture in Northern Europe in the Eighteenth Century (Cambridge University Press) 1999, probably illustrating West's contribution, "Xenophobia and xenomania: Italians and the English Royal Academy". If I could get at these books I'd edit the bits in myself. --Wetman (talk) 15:41, 3 February 2008 (UTC)
