I seem to recall reading in an "Irish Times" interview with Ian Rush that the comment about his time in Italy being "like living in a foreign country" is apocryphal. Also, I think he broke the Real Sociedad scoring record while playing there, though I don't know if the record still stands. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.56.161.2 (talkcontribs) 02:04, 29 January 2007

Unpopular at Tranmere?

[edit]

how do i add that the majority of tranmere fans dislike him because he deserted us to go down. I am a life long fan, and any forum you go on all tranmere fans say this and at all games as well!!! How do I add it and source it please? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dave006 (talkcontribs) 12:54, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This sounds like a personal opinion (even if it's widely shared), and adding it would constitute a breach of Wikipedia's rules on neutral point of view. If you can find a reliable source that backs up this opinion (it needs to credible and independent: forums, unofficial websites and terrace conversations don't qualify) then you can add it, with a suitable citation. A newspaper article, or other official publication, would do the job, if you can find one that bears out this opinion. Otherwise, if you add controversial opinion without a source, it's likely to be reverted. Dave.Dunford (talk) 14:49, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
