The edit I just submitted about Buddy Joe Eilers' commissioning and first duty station in the United States Marine Corps may be verified by the fact I was also commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps in June 1962, was in the same Officers Basic Class (1-63) as Buddy Joe, and knew him personally while we were both there.
