This article is a mess. What is going on with those footnotes? Needs to be cleaned up something fierce. --jenlight 20:56, 17 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I added a proper opening, and carried what was the beginning of the article into the new section entitled "accusations." Also, fixed red links, added & organized news sources
Kether83 09:41, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If Robida died at "3:38AM" then it must have been Feb. 5.

In a Juggalo self-quiz that is featured on his site, to the question "Your murder weapon is...", an automated system generated the answer, "hatchet". [6] A hatchet was one of the weapons used in his violent rampage at a Massachusetts gay bar. Whoa...people use LJ quizzes to plan their murders now? ^.^ Sherurcij (talk) (Terrorist Wikiproject) 23:15, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dude, the hatchet thing is a fairly common weapon throughout their songs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.209.208.190 (talk) 19:41, 11 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thought I would preserve this user's comments to make sure others on this page know to keep an eye on his edits.

First he wrote:

God bless him [Jacob D. Robida]. I hope he is never caught. —Preceding unsigned comment added by TripleH1976 (talkcontribs)

Then he added:

Then he wrote on my talk page:

What is your problem with me? Gay people are corrupting our children, they want to teach 5 year olds about their sick lifestyle. That's totally wrong and sick. TripleH1976 February 5, 2005 03:26 pm (UTC)

We've got a class A nut on our hands; it might be good to keep an eye on his edit history.

--Quasipalm 23:39, 5 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good call.
Kether83 00:36, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • I don't hate gay people, I simply hate their lifestyle. It is wrong and immoral. If they keep to themselves that's fine, but when they try to rub it in people's faces it is wrong and needs to be stopped. I can understand Jacob's anger against them. TripleH1976 February 5, 2006 at 07:59 pm (UTC)
Uh...how is going to a bar (a private venture) and socializing with other gays "rubbing it in people's faces"? How is being gay somehow "wrong and immoral" and KILLING PEOPLE not? Thank God they stopped that nutcase.24.215.179.19 18:43, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, when you decide to go on a psycho killing spree, I'll be happy when they put you down too.
p.s. (not that I should waste another minute on you, but...) supporting people who attack gay people with hatchets counts as hating gays -- at least be man enough to be honest with yourself. --Quasipalm 04:30, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • And you quit harassing me. Stop vandalizing my user page as well. Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not going on any killing spree either. -- TripleH1976 08:44 pm, 5 February 2006 (UTC)
Wait, isn't murder one of the deadliest sins out there? Especially when it's unprovoked? Especially when you're killing an officer of the law? After having broken the law? Multiple times? And when your actions in running from the law result in the death of (another) innocent? Why would Jacob be "with god now"? Surely he'd be more likely to be somewhere more... subterranean? Exploding Boy 07:20, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Jacob is with God, because he died a martyr. All martyrs go to God whenever they die. TripleH1976 10:00, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, you're one of those people. So, he's in heaven right along with the 9/11 hijackers... riiiiight. So, tell me, what does "coo coo for coco puffs" mean to you? -Quasipalm 14:55, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
TripleH1976, given your attitude towards Robida perhaps you should not be editing this page. In any event, please do not remove external links used as references for this page. The Queerty.com website is the source of the image, and it seems that you have removed it simply due to your antipathy towards gays. Secondly, there is ample documentation that Robida was obsessed with Nazi imagery, it is hardly POV to point out the obvious—I did not insert any judgment on that fact. Virtually every source about Robida and friend of his quoted in articles talks about his interest in Neo-Nazi ideology and imagery. He blog (taken down) is full of Nazi imagery. The image also speaks for itself. In any event, Robida is not "behind" Nazi images in the picture, he is standing in front of the swastikas. NTK 15:02, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
An anonymous user (TripleH1976?) has edited the caption again, this time changing it to "Robida allegedly collected Nazi imagery." without putting any explanation here and with the simple summary "NPOV." "Allegedly" is meaningless here—there is incontrovertible evidence, both in the picture that this is a caption to as well as in news reports that Robida "collected" Nazi imagery. Moreover, nobody here has explained why the previous caption is non-neutral. "Collected" is both weaker and less well documented than "fascinated" or "obsessed with." Would someone else besides me keep an eye on this caption? Go ahead and change it, but not to something unfounded, whitewashing, or underhanded by the Robida-apologist likes of TripleH1976. NTK 22:25, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've opened up a section down below to work out the caption issue, since it's changed, yet again.SirFozzie 22:59, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm frankly disgusted with the atrocities people commit in the name of god. Surely if there is a god, s/he's got the power to fight his own battles. Exploding Boy 17:45, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Being interested in something doesn't make you obsessed about it. Nothing the media or his friends say is obvious or should be taken as fact, because the guy is dead. He is not here to defend himself against the lies the media or his friends may be saying about him. May he rest in peace. TripleH1976 02:56 pm, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
TripleH1976, take it down to the appropriate section. Considering the info in the picture, plus him listing it as one of his three interests on his MySpace profile, you're going uphill on this one, but discuss it in the proper section, and we can come to a meeting of the minds in the middle, k? SirFozzie 22:59, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you just attempted to remove it from the page entirely, saying you had proof it was fake. Please cite? SirFozzie 23:04, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I want to know why does it have to be considered authentic? Why have people bought it hook line and sinker that it is real? It was not discovered by the police, or a reputable reporter. It was discovered by some guy, who reads queer material. Just look at it. It doesn't look real. TripleH1976 03:11 pm, 7 February 2006 (UTC)
The picture was on his myspace site, and when police executed a warrant on the Robida household to search Jacob's room, they found exactly what was in the picture. Please don't bring your (sadly) well-documented hatred of homosexuals into this. Wikipedia has a strict NPOV. Again, cite proof (and reputable proof) or the picture will stay. SirFozzie 23:17, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Not true I went to that site the first day it was released and that picture was not there. In fact there was very little mention of nazi or hatred for minorities. Some queer-apologist, named Barry Wick, alleges the image is a negative and he reverted it into color. If the cops found it would be all over the Boston Globe and their local media. That picture surfaced from some queer site! TripleH1976 03:26, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I am 3RR-listing TripleH1976. Frankly, I think there is an independent basis for blocking him based on his behavior here. NTK 23:30, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed.. I was attempting to reason with him on his talk page, then I noticed that he had done it again and gave up.. I am at 3RR myself, so if he does it again, will someone revert his changes, please? SirFozzie 23:34, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
and there he goes.. jsut like clock work.. someone else pick this rv up? Gotta give him points for persistance, if not for erudition.. SirFozzie 23:38, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • I'll be happy to drop it, so long as somebody tells me why that picture is real? What reputable new station or newspaper has shown it? How did Barry Wick get hold of the negative? I'm checking out all the articles concerning the case in the Boston Globe right now, and none of them show the picture. All the pictures are of him with clown paint on his face; Jacob wearing headphones; And the first image posted on here. It looks like it might be a drivers license photo. TripleH1976 03:47 pm, 7 February 2006. (UTC)
You have been blocked for cause, and given your behavior there is little reason to dialogue with you, but in hopes that you actually will drop it when your block expires, please see [:http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/060203/480/bx10202032146], where the same image is posted. Is the Associated Press reputable enough for you? The image was posted by Robida himself to his website. NTK 08:32, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Yes it is. That's all I was asking for is to show me a site that has the image. I don't believe anything that comes from a site, which caters to queers. Call me a bigot all you want. TripleH1976 08:41, 8 February 2006.

Jugga-no

[edit]

This is not a Juggalo, which is a follower of the Dark Carnival Cult, but an ICP fan. I'll make edits on the juggalo article sooner or later.--Kingdoms united 2004 00:31, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm who cares? All losers.

Speaking as a proud Juggalo, anybody who would ever do anything of this nature should not even call themselves one. As much as ICP has rappped about racisim ("Terrible" for starters), even if you think ICP sucks you should know J and Shaggy don't condone this at all. --BigBoi29

ICP raps about killing murderers, paedophiles, racists, oppressive rich republicans, etc. It never condones racism, homosexual discrimination, and anything else that this lunatic clearly embodies.
It's entirely possible he's not smart enough to realise this because all ICP does is swear and talk about profane things. Oh well. Piepants 21:54, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Piepants[reply]

Lead Summary Paragraph change

[edit]

"Jacob D. Robida (June 13, 1987 – February 5, 2006) was a Massachusetts teenager. Prior to his death he was a suspect in an alleged hate crime, attempted murder, and murder who was wanted in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He died in a Missouri hospital at 03:38 CST on February 5, 2006, following a shootout with local authorities on February 4, 2006, in Norfork, Arkansas."

Since he committed murder right before the fatal gun battle with police, and had not been formally charged with the murder at the time of his death.., can we maybe tighten the lead a bit.

"Jacob D. Robida (June 13, 1987 – February 5, 2006) was a Massachusetts teenager, who prior to his death, was a suspect in an assault on a New Bedford, Massachusetts bar, alleged to be a hate crime. He died in a Missouri hospital at 03:38 CST on February 5, 2006, following a shootout with local authorities in which he murdered the woman in the car he was driving, on February 4, 2006, in Norfork, Arkansas."

Probably could be done better.. you don't need alleged (for the murder) in there, you have video of the gun battle, and due to Robida's death, will never be brought to trial. SirFozzie 22:33, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Detail Victims

[edit]

May I suggest we start a separate section detailing the victims? NiftyDude 23:15, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Depends on how much is available.. last I heard they weren't announcing status of those injured, except in the most vague generalities. SirFozzie 23:56, 6 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Good research, and shame on them. I also noticed that the Baxter Bulletin and other local news in Arkansas has many articles (at least four in the Baxter B) about unprovoked murder of officer Jim Sell, each of which describes Robida's attacks in New Bedford but makes no reference to the hate crime aspect or the fact that it was a gay bar (aside from a single word in an Associated Press article). But I'm not sure how this relates to the Jacob Robida article at hand. i think the accsations of the media are absurd

[edit]

“It contains some racist speech and some telling information on the psychotic murderer.” says media

Excuse me, i am a juggalette from Michigan and ive been a juggalette since i was 4 years old. First off id like to inform you that the juggalo community is known to be distinctly against racism and bogotry. Yes their music may contain homocidal lyrics but its not what they’re doing that is the message, its who they’re doing it to. From what ive learned from psychopathic records, they go around clensing the world of bigots, preachers who molest little boys, people who beat their children and wives, people filled with greed, mostly extremely wealthy people who do nothing for the poor communities but shun them, these are lyrics from a popular song Assassins off of the Amazing Jeckel Brothers cd by Insane Clown Posse:

Hypocrite, he was a bigot so I cut off his head Poured on the holy water, “Bless the dead” is what I said And heard the demon screaming as his body bled

Now does that sound like a band who condones bigotry? Pshychopathis records shouldnt be blamed for some neo-nazi who goes around killing people, many people have killed people with hatchets, just because the juggalo community has a hatchet as part of their appearance does NOT mean this is the reason this kid, whos obviosly mentally unstable, picked it as a weapon of choice.

The juggalos are all about many diffrent people coming together, a good world where everyone gets along and the ones who are bad they kill them (not literally of course) and send them to hells pit, and if they live good and fallow the carnival (god) then they will go to shangri la (heaven). the whole message was revealed in the wraith: shangri la in the song thy unveiling when the insane clown posse stated: Now we have been told this carnival shit has touched many lives. People have fuckin` sworn to us they too can feel it inside. What is it that draws you in, this magic that compels you? We`ve been waiting six fuckin` joker cards to finally tell you. This messengers and hints were there, all though most never picked up on them. We snuck em` in subliminally with that wicked shit around them. We mentioned more and more of this on every Joker’s Card. The bottom line always the same, you aint have to look hard. We wickedly kick it, inflict it, you get it, get with it and dig we don’t preach it flat, cause some ninjas don`t wanna get with ya, they quick to forget ya without the hatchet and gat out. So we rose the hatchet, do or die, now Juggalos standing tall, after all 6 have risen the end of time will consume us all. It aint got nothing to do with us, It aint Psychopathic Records! All we`re doing is pointing this shit out to you, we in this together! Who`s behind the Dark Carnival, thet Gatherings and the hatchet? Who`s beind Dark Lotus, the circus and everybody at it? Who inveted Juggalos and Juggalette and fuckin Faygo showers? What about that feeling you get when bumping our shit, who`s behind these Juggalo powers? This ain`t no fuckin fan club, It aint about making a buck. Don`t buy our fuckin action figures bitch, i dont give a fuck. It aint About Violent J or Shaggy, the Butterfly or seventeen. When we speak of Shangri-La, what you think we mean? Truth is we follow GOD, we`ve always been behind him, The Dark Carnival is GOD and may all Juggalos find him!

Juggalos are about acceptance, they accept everyone rich, poor, black, white, everyone, and we call them “Family” and we make sure they are never left to felt out of place, or alone, we make them have somewhere to fit in and be among people who’ll love em like a brother or siter and have they’re back in every situation, friends come and go but Family is for life and i just hope you people think twice before accusing juggalos and juggalettes for peoples actions. especially ones that dont even fit the message that psychopathis records sends out.

Let's leave the Juggalos and clown-heads alone

[edit]

May I suggest that we keep this Wikipedia article as Insane-Clown-Free as possible? Otherwise, we'll turn the Jacob Robida article into a tug-of-war betwen the Juggalos and them Emminem fans or something.

I think that to dwell upon it will only waste time, bandwidth and energy.

I'd like to suggest that we "leave the juggalos in peace" and that they in turn leave this article alone. Is Wikipedia in agreement on this?

If The Juggalos and such want to argue the merits of their music, they should go here:

Posting Left-Wing/Right-Wing accusations

[edit]

NiftyDude, Posting outside articles accusing anti-GLBT groups in Massachusetts of causing this attack, is non-NPOV. Post articles giving a clear and active link between the two (if Robida was a member of groups, if someone has spoken out about Robida, (besides TripleH1976, of course). Linking press-releases with the usual he said/she said is non-NPOV. Focus on the facts.

I get your point, but I think it's still valid to put that stuff in.

Why not just ballance it with statements from the Religious-right in which they make a counter-argument?

Oh, wait... "Your search... did not match any documents."

Also, it looks like members of Robida's family may have signed the pettition against gay marriage. Go to www.KnowThyNeighbor.og and look for people in New Bedford with the last names of "Oliver" or "Robida." As soon as I have anything concrete, I'll put that in.

That might merit a passing mention, "Robida's parents signed a petition asking that the legalization of Gay Marriage be repealed", but be careful.. it might be vandals/sympathizers/etcetera. Try to find a timestamp that indicates when they signed it.. Anything more then that would require notability (IE, did the Robida's actively campaign for the repealment? Were they the authors of any pamphlets/etcetera). Sorry I didn't sign it before.. SirFozzie 20:37, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

All signatures on the anti-gay petition were collected months ago before the deadline to file the ballot initiative with the state. NiftyDude 13:15, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Be careful of defamation and original research here. Just because someone lives in New Bedford and is named Robida doesn't mean they have anything to do with Jacob Robida and his immediate family. They could easily be distant relatives or unrelated. NTK 14:34, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There was also widespread fraud in collecting those signatures. Many people were duped into signing the petition. Rhobite 15:10, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like... may have... name appears on...

[edit]

Yes, that's why I didn't try to post that in the article. Am I correct in assuming we have a little more leeway in the chat area where we can discuss research leads?

When I talk about the petition, I am careful to use phrases like, "...whose name appears on the pettition," as opposed to, "...who signed the pettition." I also said it LOOKS LIKE they MAY HAVE signed. There are others looking into chasing down that lead right now. If something concrete comes up, I suppose it would be worth mentioning. But for now, it's speculation. Unless someone here wants to research this further, I'm going to wait and see what I hear back. NiftyDude 21:37, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, what you were saying was basically speculation, and that's fine here. We should not put it into the article unless it is either reported in other sources or we have definitive information that it is true. It is good that you unearthed the possibility, but clearly there would need to be more than just a last name on a petition for it to be mentioned in the article. It just wasn't clear to me from your earlier comment if you were going to add it to the article. NTK 00:31, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Caption of Photo

[edit]

Alright folks, I see that we're going to go all round and round with this one.. let's find a NPOV middle ground that we can live with that works. How about the following caption.. "Robida was said to have been obsessed with Nazi Imagery" Please discuss and remember civility.. Thanks! SirFozzie 22:33, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I changed it to a simple description of the photo for the time being -- this side steps the issue of getting inside his head -- although I don't support this long term, it should work until we figure something better out. --Quasipalm 23:01, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
TripleH1976 just attempted to remove it, claiming it's a fake.. hoping he'll post some proof (cite or indisputable evidence) before attempting it again.. SirFozzie 23:08, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
TripleH1976 is obviously not editing this article in good faith. He is saying whatever he wants in order to smear gays and remove material that he feels is negative towards Robida, as well as blatantly violating WP policy. I have also "used up my reverts," each time inviting actual discussion or positive editing, but I can do no more today in regards to the caption. NTK 00:09, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Looks like he's been blocked for 24 hours. Hopefully we can discuss the photo without bashing and find consensus when he returns (I have a feeling he'll be back to old tricks, but who knows?) SirFozzie 00:38, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, folks: Now that we're all here/back, let's discuss.. How about "Robida had a collection of Neo-Nazi and Nazi party imagery"? SirFozzie 00:41, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think that's fair. --Quasipalm 02:25, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

New Info About cause of Robida's Death

[edit]

This just appeared on the front page of boston.com... (The Boston Globe's website.. NEWS UPDATE ON THE ROBIDA CASE: Jacob D. Robida was not shot by police, but rather, shot himself in the head as police closed in on him in Arkansas on Saturday, the Boston Globe is reporting this afternoon. Robida, 18, attacked patrons at a gay bar in New Bedford last week before being stopped by police in Arkansas. Earlier reports said police shot Robida after he shot a former girlfriend who was in the car with him. --Developing

First Sentence

[edit]

A strong opening sentence and paragraph is key to establishing not only the tone of the article but giving information to "hook" people into reading more - it should pack as much information as it can without being overloaded and yet stay open-ended, leading into the rest of the article.

What I see now is: Jacob D. Robida (13 June 1987 – 5 February 2006) was a Massachusetts teenager who shot and killed a police officer and a female companion before ending his own life.

How about: Jacob D. Robida (13 June 1987 – 5 February 2006) was a Massachusetts teenager who attacked patrons at a gay bar in New Bedford, Massachusetts and then ultimately fled to Norfork, Arkansas, where he was mortally wounded.

That gets the reader to ask many questions. Where are these places, why did he attack anyone, what is a gay bar (some naive people still might not know), and how did he die? This makes most people want to read the rest of the article to answer their questions. Give me some feedback and I'll put it in or alter it as per suggestions. Kether83 05:45, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

How about the following, instead?

Jack Thompson

[edit]

Ol Whack Jack has fired away again, but it's just a blip, I don't think it's worthy of inclusion myself, but what do you guys think?

Unless he becomes somehow "involved" in the matter, either via a lawsuit, or in some majorly newsworthy "foot in mouth" incident (God is punishing New Orleans for sin, etc... ala Pat Robertson), I wouldn't consider him in any special way connected to the attempted murders or their aftermath. I'm sure he's one of hundreds of whacked out minor figures who comment on this or any other incident. As it is, I feel he's had too much attention on Wikipedia already, which only increases the percieved legitimacy of his positions. Glowimperial 19:53, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what I think.. On one hand, Jacob Robida murders: involvement of Jack Thompson is probably too detailed. Maybe move it over to Wikinews? On the other hand, it's very well sourced and basically neutral, a little original research-y but it's a decent article. It should not be merged into this one in its present state, due to its excessive level of detail. Rhobite 20:06, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I think the news suggestion is the best option -- something about it just doesn't seem at home as a wikipedia article. --Quasipalm 21:49, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

See my comments on the Talk:Jacob Robida murders: involvement of Jack Thompson page. Exploding Boy 21:55, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, do not merge the two articles. Jacob needs an article all to himself . May be rest in peace. I know he is with the Lord. TripleH1976 22:50, 12 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Glad you KNOW that, I have a feeling if anything he's elsewhere.. Thou Shall Not Kill, anyone? What did the police officer do to deserve being shot and killed? Anyway, last reply to you on this issue, don't want to get this whole thing going again.
I even made an edit on the main article page saying that Robida now resides in Hell. It was invisible in this kind of way before Curps reverted it (Darn!). ("nowiki" tag applied to show):

<!-- Now Jacob resides in [[Hell]], where he is currently undergoing punishment much more excruciating than what he would've received if he hadn't attempted to take his own life. --> <!-- Keep preceding invisible message. Who cares just so long as it's invisible??? --> --Shultz 06:59, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, Just because it's invisible doesn't mean it still isn't a detriment in the article. Gimme a break SirFozzie 15:29, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think this article needs to mention Thompson, but I do think Thompson's article does need to mention this page. I propose making the Jacob Robida murders: involvement of Jack Thompson page a sub-article of Thompson's page, rather than a sub-article of this one. Jabrwock 16:36, 14 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Response from Insane Clown Posse and Psychopathic Records

[edit]

I'm sort of new to the wikipedia, but why does this section belong in an encyclopedia article about a person? I could see it in an article about the crime he committed, or as its own page, but I don't understand why it belongs on this page.--Josilot 16:24, 16 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is this appropriate?

[edit]

I removed this sentence:

  • On his MySpace page, Robida identified himself as an atheist. [1]

MySpace profiles have a box where you can select your religion from a drop-down list. The fact that Robida selected "atheist" from a drop-down list doesn't mean that he was particularly passionate about atheism or that it was in any way relevant to his crimes. I visited the link, and he doesn't write about atheism anywhere else, so why select that one piece of information, and without any context that would make it relevant to the subject at hand? Should we also point out that he identified himself as a Gemini and as being of average body type (in the same infobox)? --Grace 06:07, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. It's not particularly notable, plus "atheism" in general is poorly defined and many who are deistic, agnostic, etc. often are given no options in such questions, lumping them in with atheists. He probably just picked it because he thought it was cool. Kasreyn 07:49, 6 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

contradiction

[edit]

I'm not going to add a tag, because this is relatively minor. Also, I'm assuming some people have watchlisted this page, given TripleH1976, and will hopefully have some info. That said, the quote from ICP's manager contradicts the quote by the manager on the Jack Thompson page. Anyone have the actual quote?

I guess if I don't get a response to this, I'll add a "contradict-other" tag... --Natalie 03:18, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I linked to the wrong page. The link is Jack Thompson: Jacob Robida murders. Sorry bout that. --Natalie 03:24, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I don't understand. Where's the contradiction? Some parts were excised to shorten the quote on the other page. These removals are correctly indicated using ellipses ("...") and other methods. There is no contradiction in the quotes that I can see. Kasreyn 05:17, 22 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Natalie, what makes you think people will put this page on their watch-list because of me? Just because of my comments when Jacob was on the run? Since, then I've left this page alone. Jacob is with the Lord now. TripleH1976 22:40 p.m., 21 July 2006 (UTC)

this damn psycho isn't a juggalo because ICP shows love to all people and hates racism —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.237.101.114 (talk) 07:15, 8 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merge proposal

[edit]

I have proposed that the page Jack Thompson and the Jacob Robida murders be merged into this one. That article is entirely about reactions to the Robida murders; I doubt it properly fulfils the notability guidelines in its own right. I think it would be best if the reactions by Jack Thompson and Scott Lang were merged into the 'in response' section of this article, as the response by Insane Clown Posse already has been. Terraxos (talk) 05:06, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, there were no objections in over a year, so I carried out the merge. For the rest of the content that didn't make it into this article, see the history of Jack Thompson and the Jacob Robida murders. Robofish (talk) 15:25, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
