Disputed content
[edit]I have removed a section referring to alleged family members as User:Shn606, who is the son-in-law of Barker's son, advises that the information about his "Family" is incorrect (he didn't have a younger brother Jeffrey nor a nephew John). Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 05:31, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
His son, also Jack Barker, played for Derby County in the 1950's. I am trying to find some 'documentary' evidence of this. Presumeably, then it could be added to the article. Shn606 (talk) 00:23, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
Date of birth
[edit]The article states that Barker's date of birth was 27 February 1907, which is based on all published sources, both on the internet e.g www.englandstats.com, www.englandfc.com and www.englandfootballonline.com and in books (both books cited as references give the same date). This date of birth is challenged by User:Shn606, a family member, who says that Barker's birth certificate gives the date of birth as 1906. If a copy of the birth certificate can be obtained, the article will need to be corrected. Daemonic Kangaroo (talk) 05:43, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
Yes I do have the bith certificate but I am prevented from uploading the image of it because I am not autoconfirmed. Shn606 (talk) 00:19, 12 January 2009 (UTC)
