Source and format of refs

[edit]

1. I've reformatted the main zimapanners reference twice now. Whether or not the author's name (when available) comes before or after the article title depends on the referencing style used (see WP:REF), and we can discuss the preferred style (none of the other refs have author names) but postnominals are not normally used, so it's incorrect to put BSc after the author's name. More importantly, we don't assert copyright or use copyright symbols on a source in a reference - check other refs in other articles for comparison. The website in question asserts its own copyright - stating it in a Wikipedia reference is nonstandard and redundant. Karenjc 13:48, 12 November 2010 (UTC).[reply]

2. I have removed the photograph of Isaac Newton Seligman (INS), banker, born 1855 on Staten Island, New York, NY as he is not the biographee in question. Isaac Seligman (b. 1834, Bavaria, Germany) was in fact INS's uncle. Peter King Smith BSc wrote this abridged biography. The full biography can be found on www.zimapanners.com DrSchaub (talk) 19:07, 20 October 2015 (UTC).[reply]

3. In the death section, the reference to "today's money" should probably be changed to provide a specific year for the conversion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BL1195 (talkcontribs) 21:38, 3 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
