The History section of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining article states that its roots are in the Iron and Steel Institute, but gives no details. The mergers and acquisitions (renaming?) it cites don't seem to involve the Iron and Steel Institute. At least until this is done, it seems reasonable to maintain a separate article on the Iron and Steel Institute, and perhaps even afterwards. Bob Burkhardt (talk) 20:35, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
