The Nine Mile curve

[edit]

'The Chrysler Freeway jogs through the suburb of Hazel Park, site of the "worst freeway for accidents in Metro Detroit" at a curve near 9 Mile Road.'

Sure its a fun fact the MLive dug up in 2010, but that segment of freeway has been reconfigured since then and doubtfully still applies. KelleyCook (talk) 19:36, 29 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Recent additions

[edit]

Recently I've seen content just dumped into this article from other articles.

  • A whole paragraph of text about bearing replacements on the Zilwaukee Bridge was copied over without also including that it was about the Zilwaukee Bridge. The level of detail was undue weight for this article. That detail was perfectly fine for the bridge's article though. (It was also an issue that the editor adding it didn't see fit to specify which bridge was the subject of the paragraph.)
  • Another paragraph was added about rebuilding the customs plaza at the border. Similarly, undue level of detail given that we don't bother to mention whenever a rest area building is replaced, or if the Mackinac Bridge's toll booths were replaced. (It was also an issue that the addition contained several spelling errors and lacked details for it to make sense.)
  • A paragraph was added about a proposal for a freeway lid. Perhaps if that moves beyond the "wouldn't it be nice if..." stage to a "we're starting design and planning work for..." stage, then it would be worth including. At that point, it may be only a brief mention, unless that becomes a defining feature like the plazas on I-696.

For now, I've removed these additions pending discussion to include them in some fashion. Imzadi 1979  05:41, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
