Removing link from recent submitted update
[edit]Hello there, this morning, I updated the names of the IEEE leadership, which appear in the gray content box on the page. With the name of the new IEEE President, a hyperlink was auto generated from his name, Saifur Rahman, to this page, which has no direct relevance. http://en.wiki.x.io/wiki/Saifur_Rehman.... I would like to request removal of the hyperlink, if possible, thank you.

Request to update organization and legal status information
[edit]Hello. To align with the recent repositioning of IEEE as a public charity in external communications, we are requesting the following updates:
1.) Infobox: a.) Next to ‘type’ change the words “professional association” to “public charity” with no link. b.) Under ‘legal status’, change to “501 (c) (3) public charity”
2.) In the first paragraph of the Wikipedia definition, remove professional association and change to public charity and remove the link. Revised text should read: The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)[a] is an American 501(c)(3) public charity for electronics engineering, electrical engineering, and other related disciplines.
Please see the following citations that include the new public charity repositioning.
1.) See the footer on the ieee.org website (https://www.ieee.org/) that states: © Copyright 2024 IEEE – All rights reserved. A public charity, IEEE is the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. 2.) The IRS' publicly available exempt organization search portal (https://apps.irs.gov/app/eos/) confirms that IEEE is a 501(c)(3) public charity. PC = Public Charity a.) Search by Organization Name: Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Inc.
Please advise if you need more details. Thank you. IEEE Comms (talk) 18:34, 11 November 2024 (UTC)
