Is it really a stub any longer?

The writing is kind of sloppy and some of the facts seem skewed... if the UDI is really Chile's largest party, why doesn't it have control of both the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies? I will check with my sources in Chile... -Daniel Villalobos 16:48, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Chile has many political parties, therefore the one with most congressmen does not necessarily control the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies. Additionally, Chilean political parties are grouped into two main alliances, and the biggest alliance in Congress the left-wing Concertación.

Fair use rationale for Image:Udi.jpg

[edit]

Image:Udi.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Beyond my skills, but is it not time for disambiguation? In the UK the IDU has suddenly become important as they have called a strike at the AA [they were formerly the AADU] - see www.aadu.org.uk/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.114.20.75 (talk) 09:14, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Whitewash of UDI's collaborationism with Pinochet's dictatorship

[edit]

This article is a non-neutral whitewash, poorly written by someone whose first language is evidently Spanish. Who wrote this tripe? Pinochet's son? You are entitled to your own opinions. But you are not entitled to your own facts. To exclude UDI's servile relationship to Pinochet's dictatorship is like excluding the Gulag from the article on Stalin. To blab about "terrorists" while ignoring the thousands of murders perpetrated by your "military government" is non-neutral. But we can't expect honesty from a follower of a thief and murderer, can't we? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.109.86.86 (talk) 03:46, 14 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Democratic or Democrat?

[edit]

What's the correct translation of the name of the party: Democrat or Democratic? --Danrolo (talk) 00:26, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Democratic. For example, the correct translation for the Democratic Party is Partido Demócrata, just like the Unión Demócrata... --Diego Grez-Cañete (talk) 00:30, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Why? --200.120.117.105 (talk) 12:04, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
'cos it's the correct translation. Diego Grez-Cañete (talk) 14:57, 22 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
