Moving to "INDEPENDENT" Battery B

[edit]

I am renaming this article to avoid confusion with "Cooper's Battery B," of 1st Penna. Light Artillery, part of the 14th PA Reserves ~ 43rd PA Volunteers, which was initially organized in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Aug. 5, 1861, for 3 yr service, primarily composed of men from Lawrence County, Pennsylvania (along the western edge of the state), and commanded by Capt. James Harvey Cooper, of North Beaver Twp., Lawerence Co.. That battery fought throughout in the Eastern Theater, whereas, Independent Battery B was a combined unit w/ troops from Franklin County, Pennsylvania and Erie, Pennsylvania -- originally attached to the 77th Pennsylvania Infantry -- and spent the whole war in the Western Theater). --Chachap (talk) 21:03, 13 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
