[edit]Was the spelling not "Acid Reign" ? --AStanhope 17:03, 3 June 2006 (UTC)
If you know, edit! That bit was installed by the anonymous "68.121.167.22" last winter, and I left it in because I don't have the foggiest - before my time. However, here, Acid_Reign is an entry about a British band of similar era... perhaps that was the reason for the name change? Hah! A quick web search turns up TWO more bands of that name, one a quintet of British teens apparently ignorant of the previous set of brits to use the name! The other one, a hiphop/ rap trio from the 818 (Hollywood & surrounding areas). Lesson: Never name your band after a simple pun;^) Tzf 05:16, 12 June 2006 (UTC)
Spelling was certainly Acid Rain. I have the cassette around somewhere...(Dan Phillips)
Regarding the "falling out with Gene" part which I've removed; it is my understanding that Wes quit the band, possibly partially or mostly due to tension with Gene, but I also know for a fact that Gene is still very close to Nils and Dan. To me "falling out" implies something worse than what actually occurred and is not fair to the parties involved. I will find out for sure and update the page. I have direct confirmation of the discussion of the possible completion of their unfinished album. It is my understanding that it is mostly complete but missing some of Gene's guitar parts which will need to be recorded.
Rumor has it that they are going into the studio on Jan 29, 2008. Twinge, Let the dog sing, and Monkey are finished. Trampolines on Quicksand and Devolver are in a very rough form. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.107.97.247 (talk) 20:47, 18 January 2008 (UTC) Idiot Flesh have done some work on the unfinished cd at Polymorph. Three sessions so far with more scheduled. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.107.97.247 (talk) 20:14, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Idiotflesh-9804.jpg
[edit]Image:Idiotflesh-9804.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Something that I just removed from the article.
[edit]These two sentences were in second person and was some promotion:
The band is seeking any additional footage or recordings for a future release. Please post any footage information on the yahoo Idiot Flesh group.
It was inappropriate for that to be on there, but I believe it's a good cause. So that's why I didn't just do away with it totally.

Not sure about wiki stuff, but this is my reply. "I am their unofficial Archivist with permission. I have been compiling footage and would hope the band includes it on the final release as a bonus disk. They were such a visual band with the fire dancers, inflatable costumes, and the whole sideshow, puppet show, guests, and any other shtick in the books visual band. I have transferred many hours from Vhs to Digital. I helped with the View, which is an totally unofficial and very rough DVD that splices various shows together.) I've tried to contact others that have footage (Burning Man, Oakland Underground, youtube posts from Burning Man) The footage I most want is the Wave festival. It was a Pro 3/4" on a tripod. Also I think even the band has almost no footage of the song the Armadillo Box. Which is one of unfinished tracks I think. While not mixed down, I think Trampolines is fully tracked. I think Devolver might even have a semi polished mix. So if you have any footage, please let me know. I am sincere and not in in for profit. I am a fan.
